Frome Pride
Frome Pride is an annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ people, run by the community of Frome and the surrounding area.
We started in 2022 with the UK’s shortest Pride, right in the middle of town. In 2023, we expanded to our first full Pride Season, inspiring and bringing together community of all ages. The Frome Pride Season continued to grow through 2024 and 2025, and we are proud to announce the fourth 2026 Pride Season, marking 5 years of Frome Pride!
Throughout June, local businesses, performers, and residents of Frome will come together to show love and appreciation for the LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone is welcome to this special community gathering and celebration. Expect a vibrant mix of social events, workshops, live performances, and more!
OUR HISTORY
The story behind Frome Pride began only a few short years ago, when two good friends decided to start up a small monthly social. Ever since, Frome’s LGBTQIA+ community has developed into a diverse group of different ages, genders, sexualities and personalities!
In 2022, the folks behind The Frome Independent asked if we would like a 40 minute slot on the June market stage. Their kind offer and the surge of support from our members lead to the first ever Frome Pride. We made the brevity into a feature and dubbed it the UK’s Shortest Pride!
After an amazing response, in 2023, the annual Frome Pride Season was launched, including community events for all ages. 2024 marked the first ever Pride Parade at the Independent Market, and 2025 marked the first ever Frome Pride Youth stage and the first voices of the new generation. We are proud to announce that Frome Pride Season 2026 will include the first full street parade in Frome Town Centre, and the the first community gathering in Rodden Meadow, alongside other community events. Frome Pride is proudly supported by Frome Town Council, Frome FM, Frome College, Cheese and Grain, Loud Mouth Cafe, Flow Bar, The Tunnels, and many other local venues, and businesses . We can't wait to see you all there!
